KT Hydraulics expands capabilities to create Engineering Solutions Group

Having built a strong reputation within the oil and gas industry for the design and manufacture of complex hydraulic systems, with recent acquisitions KTH has now grown to become a multi-faceted engineering group.

Over the last 12 months, metal fabrications companies Abacus and Davley Fabrications plus metallurgical treatment specialists Holt Brothers have all been brought together to join KT Hydraulics and form the KTH Engineering Group. The combined expertise and experience of these four businesses has now formed a powerful force capable of bringing a broad range of capabilities to bear on complex engineering problems for clients in a wide cross-section of industries.

“Whilst the expansion was originally driven by a desire to bring on board some services we regularly used in the production of our hydraulic systems, we rapidly began to realise that bringing these business together was going to create something far more dynamic than the sum of its parts,” explains managing director Richard Ellis.

“We are already seeing opportunities with both existing and new clients where we can either expand a piece of work by being able to offer additional services or in some cases we can take and manage the whole project and provide a turnkey solution , where previously we would only have had the capability to design and supply a single element.”
